Tips and Info for a Greener Lifestyle:
- Start a collection box for used household batteries. When it is full, batteries can be brought to the the City Hall Building Department for recycling!

- Hard plastics nos. 1 through 7, may be placed in blue curbside recycling containers
- Plastic beverage containers with CRV can be taken to a Recycling Drop-Off and Buyback Centers
- Many local grocery stores accept plastic bags for recycling

Backyard Composting
The County of Santa Barbara offers discounted Earth Machine composting bins ($45) to help residents start their home composting efforts.

New State Commercial Recycling Law
Under the new state law, AB 341, the City of Guadalupe must implement a Mandatory Commercial Recycling plan. The regulation requires the City to:
- Implement education, outreach, and monitoring programs to inform businesses of the new state requirement to recycle
