NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a General Municipal Election will be held in the City of Guadalupe on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 for the following Measures and Officers:


 ESSENTIAL SERVICES. To maintain/enhance essential services, including public safety, crime/graffiti/vandalism prevention, and opportunities for youth, including parks, recreation, library, and other vital services, reduce debt, and provide durable fiscal stability; shall the measure be approved adopting an ordinance reauthorizing transaction and use tax funding at the one cent rate until ended by voters, proving $625,000 annually, with no funds able to be taken by Sacramento and all fund used locally.

 One (1) Mayor – Full Term of Two Years

Two (2) Members of the City Council – Full Term of Four Years

One (1) City Clerk – Full Term of Four Years

 The nomination period for these offices begins on July 13, 2020 through August 7, 2020.  Between those dates, candidates must obtain and file nomination papers in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Guadalupe.  If nomination documents for an incumbent officer of the city are not filed by August 7, 2020, non-incumbents have a five (5) day extension period in which to file nomination documents and candidates’ statement pursuant to Election Code§ 10407.

If no one or only one person is nominated for an elective office, appointment to the elective office may be made as prescribed by Section 10229, Election Code of the State of California.

The polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
